Partner Online Shopping Mall talks about what soldiers wear while they're
deployed overseas. These are the outfits that soldiers don't want their friends
and family back home to know about (or even see them in).
Combat
boots
You may think these are just worn by cowboys
and country singers but combat boots have been worn by American soldiers since
the Vietnam War. These black leather boots are made to give you extra grip and
traction if you need to run away from enemy gunfire.
Bulletproof vest
These are vests that soldiers use to protect
themselves from bullets. Sometimes called body armour, bulletproof clothing was
developed after WWII to help keep soldiers safe from enemy fire.
Kevlar helmet
The military uses helmets equipped with Kevlar
fibres because it makes the helmets stronger and lighter than regular steel
helmets. Kevlar was first used in 1942 by NASA to make aircraft parts.
MOLLE gear
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. MOLLE gear is designed specifically to carry heavy loads.
Soldiers use MOLLE gear while deployed overseas to keep their packs organized.
Tactical
uniform
Tactical uniforms were designed in the
1960s. Before then, most soldiers wore cargo pants and t-shirts when they
deployed overseas. Now tactical uniforms are more fitted, and the fabrics are
designed to stop blood stains and maintain body temperature.
Army Casual Pants
The pants of choice
for any active-duty soldier. These durable garments look great and provide
comfort while keeping you cool in hot weather conditions.

The Army Casual uniform was first introduced in 1790 during the French Revolutionary War. Over time, it became popular among U.S. soldiers and officers. In 1885, the standard issue of the United States Army was changed to a dark blue wool-cotton blend dress jacket, white shirt, necktie, and trousers.
In 1920, after World War I, officers' uniforms were standardized with khaki service coats and pants; however, the jackets were no longer worn. A few years later, in 1929, the traditional field jacket gained recognition again. After World War II, the current Army uniform was adopted. It consists of a camouflage patterned coat and trousers with a small number of pockets.
Today, the Army Casual uniform serves its purpose well. While many military services have adopted their own versions of the uniform, they still maintain elements of the original design.

Army Casual Clothes
The American military services employ several different clothing types to meet various needs. These clothes vary greatly depending upon the environment, season, weather conditions, rank, and individual's preferences. Here we have compiled a list of the most popular army casual wear items.
Jacket
A jacket is a popular item among soldiers. In the winter months, it keeps them warm, preventing ice build-up on their body. There are many different kinds of jackets, including raincoats, windbreakers, leather jackets, etc. Most of these jackets are made out of wool or nylon material. Army jackets are commonly brown, olive green, and camouflage.
Sweatpants/Pants
Sweatpants or pants are preferred by most soldiers over shorts. These clothes are worn underneath uniforms and cover lower legs.
Trousers
Trousers are an alternative to sweatpants/pants. Trousers are more formal than sweatpants/pants and are worn with shoes or boots.

Combat boots
Combat boots are worn by soldiers and police officers for protection and traction while walking on rough terrain and climbing stairs. These boots are designed to provide maximum protection.
Jacket
A jacket is a piece of outerwear usually made from cotton or wool, covering the torso and shoulders. A jacket may also cover only the upper body. A military-style jacket is commonly referred to as a peacoat.
Camouflage Pattern
Camouflage is a visual pattern intended to impede the recognition of an object or person by reducing the visibility of contrasting details. In military camouflage, the uniform coat and trousers are camouflaged together, using a similar colouring scheme.
Army Trousers
Trousers are loose pants typically worn over the lower half of the legs, extending below the knee or ankle. The term trouser derives from French troop presser meaning "to stretch out". They are often associated with formal dress. Many styles of trousers have been developed throughout history for different purposes.

The Army Casual uniform was first issued in 1879 and consisted of a long-tailed coat with high collars at the front. Originally designed to be worn over uniforms, the style became popular among civilians and eventually began to be worn as casual clothes outside of military settings. In 1885, the United States Congress passed legislation authorizing the Secretary of War to purchase civilian clothing for use by members of the Army and Navy while away from their home bases. This resulted in the formation of the Army’s Clothing Department and the first official American Army Uniform.
The Army’s uniform underwent several changes throughout its history. It went through many forms of the dress until finally being standardized under the U.S. Army Regulation (USAR), which states that a soldier should wear the same outfit regardless of his location. These regulations were updated again after World War II, which included replacing the regulation collarless jacket with a crew neck sweater.
When the war ended, the USAR remained unchanged, and thus, the classic army uniform continued to evolve. Over time, the design of the traditional uniform changed numerous times, including modifications to the sleeve length, the shape of cuffs, type of buttons, and colour scheme. In addition, various different styles were adopted by individual branches of service. For example, some special forces units wore desert camouflage uniforms, while infantry units favoured olive drab and jungle greens.
In the 2000s, the Army adopted combat uniforms based upon designs created by the British Royal Marines, which had been approved for use by the United States Marine Corps. These new uniforms retained the classic army style but added features like ventilation panels, pockets, reflective details, and Kevlar vests. The new system replaced the previous two systems used by the Army; the Combat Utility Uniform (CUU) and the Army Working Uniform (AWU).
Today, the Army still maintains the classic uniform, but it is now referred to as the “Operational Camouflage Pattern” or OCP. The Army continues to make minor adjustments to the uniform but remains largely unchanged since its inception. However, the Army does continue to modernize its equipment, and thus, the uniform may change slightly depending on what equipment is currently available.
